salt5New York, How much salt is consumed every day? Researchers suggest start of salt reduction with 3 grams per day killed by a stroke and heart disease prevention.

A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine said the lowering of the amount of salt was instrumental in reducing smoking by 50 percent and 5 percent of obesity.

“Only by doing these small changes to the number of people with a heart attack and stroke reduction,” says Karen Congro of Wellness for Life Program Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York as reported by HealthDay, Thursday (21/1/2010) .

An agent in the U.S. report, Americans currently consume too much salt. Reports Medical Research Council (MRC) says that the average adult in the United States consume 9.5 grams of salt per day. No less than three quarters of the salt consumed comes from processed foods and 10 percent in the home kitchen.
